Taizé and Sacred Song
Tue 1 Dec 2026 7:00 - 9:00 PM
Oxford Friends Meeting House, St Giles, OX1 3LW

Wren Hughes leads an evening of sung prayer from the ecumenical community of Taizé.
These beautiful and harmonious rounds and four part chants are simple to learn and sing.
We will learn the songs in the first half of the evening and after a tea break gather again for a reflective time of sung prayer and silence.

Wren's background is in sculpture, Creative Arts Therapy, and counselling the dying and bereaved. She spent her 20s working and exhibiting primarily as a sculptor, later developing her work as a therapist and group facilitator in prisons and hospitals, as well as working with creative groups and retreats in UK and Europe.

Wren's interest in teaching sacred song and creative art groups is inspired by the experience of creating from a still centre.
